McLachlan Offers Commission As Solution To AFL Grand Final Entertainment ‘Furor’

100’s of Pole dancing tables will now cover the field during the pre-game and Shazza from the Pinkerton hotel will sing Karaoke for the half time show

AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan has had to respond again to criticism after the league asked for volunteers to be apart of the Grand Final day entertainment. It was revealed today at a press conference, that the AFL has said they were happy to consider paying commission to the entertainment at next weeks grand final.

It was said that 100’s of Pole dancing tables will now cover the field during the pre-game and Shazza from the Pinkerton hotel will sing Karaoke for the half time show. the Australian Football League has been feeling the financial strain from the COVID lockdowns and with the insane salaries the league pays, McLachlan says “there has been a lot of brainstorming around ways to generate extra revenue and this was one of the ideas brought to the table”

The entertainers are said to earn 10% of the earnings from their table with the AFL saying that they are happy to reach a “win-win scenario” For the half time entertainment, Shazza said she was happy to sing for a few pots of 4XXXX Bitter and Parmi.

The league came under fire from many in the entertainment industry after a casting call was revealed, asking for “volunteer performers” for “a large scale event in Brisbane on the 24th of October 2020”.That was in reference to the Grand Final, which will be held at the Gabba for the first time. “For this large scale performance to take place we are seeking strong performers who are now 18 years and over to take part as a commission-based performer,” it said.“This will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for them, as it will be the largest mass scale strip show televised event of the year.”
