Rugby Australia CEO Calls Folau “Can We Borrow Some Money Bruz?”

Alan Joyce has basically ‘pulled out’ after ‘screwing’ Rugby Australia.

Following the shock announcement yesterday that Qantas were ending their 30-year sponsorship with Rugby Australia, acting CEO rob Clarke has supposedly reached out Israel Folau at his home in France asking if Rugby Australia could borrow some cash.

Taking the call from the bathtub in his Chateau in France, Folau heard from Clarke that RA was in a bit of shit financially and whether he could swing any cash their way until they can get on their feet again. With the wallabies not having won a game in what feels like decades ever since Folau was sacked, crowd attendance has been dwindling even prior to COVID with many claiming he was the only decent player to go and watch.

Qantas pulling out has added further financial stress on the code with some saying that Qantas CEO Alan Joyce has basically ‘pulled out after f@#king’ Rugby Australia. Qantas threatened to pull their sponsorship last year if they did not sack Folau over some social media posts, forcing their hand to get rid of the only decent player to wear the Wallaby jersey since…… it has been that long the author can’t remember.

Rugby Australia has been struggling financially since they chose to Go Woke & Go Broke, with the sacking of Israel Folau resulting in an undisclosed, out of court settlement.
